From the garden there are far reaching misty blue views over the tranquil and pastoral Blackmore Vale, the very centre and epitome of Thomas Hardy's  Wessex.

In one corner a round gazebo with shingled roof is a pleasant shady nook in which to relax while gazing across the garden to the cottage, whilst elsewhere other benches and seats are warm and sunny.

The conservatory at Hilltop Garden is a great refuge on a wet day   Hannahs Garden Hilltop Garden   Verbascum Hilltop Garden
On cool days visitors often linger in the conservatory with tea and cake.   A hot spot in this sunny corner.   Verbascum flowers will last longer out of the hot sun.
